to all of the Parents and
Friends that make our

Foley Band Student Nominated for All-American Band

Dylan Yates, a percussionist in the Foley High School Band has been
nominated for the 2011 All American Marching Band.  If selected, Dylan will
perform a live halftime with the All-American Marching Band at the 2011 U.S.
Army All-American Bowl in San Antonio , Texas .   This is the most difficult
band to be selected for as hundreds of musicians across the United States will
be challenging for membership in this pristine ensemble of 100 students. Dylan
was one of only 22 students nominated from the state of Alabama . Dylan will
be eligible for many scholarships offered by the All American Band sponsors.
The final selection of the All-American Band will be determined by the
students resume, accomplishments, academic requirements, and video taped
audition.
